Privacy Policy

Atomisticai operates the website atomisticai.com. This policy sets out what we collect when you browse the site or place an order, why we hold it, who else ever sees it, and what you can require us to do with it. It applies to every visitor, whether or not you buy anything.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, email address, telephone number, and the shipping and billing addresses attached to an order.
• Order records: the products bought, your order history, and any correspondence with our support team.
• Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, device identifiers, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and the time of each request.

Card details

We never see a full card number. Payments are taken by Shopify Payments, which handles card data directly and to PCI-DSS standards. Nothing beyond the outcome of the transaction reaches our systems, and no payment credentials are stored by us at any point.

Why we hold it

• To take, pack, ship, refund and otherwise complete your order.
• To answer your questions and resolve problems with something you bought.
• To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
• To understand how the site is used and make it work better.
• To meet obligations placed on us by law, regulation or legal process.
• To send promotional messages — only where you have consented, and only until you tell us to stop.

Who else sees it

We disclose personal information to third parties only where the business could not run without it: the e-commerce platform the store is built on, the payment processor that takes your money, the shipping carriers that deliver the parcel, and the analytics providers that show us how the site performs. Each receives the minimum its task requires.

We also disclose information where the law, a regulator or a court requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our property or someone's safety. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone for marketing purposes.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies to keep basic functions working, remember your preferences between visits and measure traffic. Your browser settings control them: you can block or delete cookies there, although parts of the site will stop behaving properly if you do.

How long we keep it

We hold your information for as long as it takes to complete an order, support you afterwards, satisfy our accounting and legal obligations and settle any dispute. Once none of those applies, the record is securely deleted or stripped of anything that identifies you.

Security

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards, and traffic between your browser and our servers travels over SSL/TLS encryption. No system connected to the internet is completely secure and we will not claim otherwise; what we can say is that we treat a breach as an emergency rather than an inconvenience.

Your rights and choices

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate details corrected, or your information deleted.
• Withdraw from promotional messages at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.

California residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives California residents more than the above:

• Right to know — the categories and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to delete — to have what we hold erased, subject to the exceptions the statute allows.
• Right to opt out of a sale — we do not sell personal information, and were that ever to change we would publish a plain opt-out first.
• Right to non-discrimination — we will not treat you worse for using any of these rights.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors of that age, as required by COPPA. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy. The revised version is posted on this page with a new effective date, so it is worth re-reading from time to time.
